About Me

Frontend Developer specializing in web accessibility and front-end web development

Who am I?

I'm Morgan Peck, a User Experience Engineer at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield with a passion for building digital experiences that work for everyone. My mission is simple: write clean, accessible code that creates websites and applications that serve all users, regardless of how they interact with technology.

What I Do

I specialize in frontend development with a strong focus on web accessibility. Every project I work on starts with a fundamental question: "How can we make this work for everyone?" Whether I'm building new features, conducting accessibility audits, or remediating existing code, inclusivity drives every decision.

My work focuses on:

  • Accessible web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
  • WCAG compliance and Section 508 remediation
  • Frontend implementation that prioritizes usability for all abilities
  • PDF accessibility and document remediation
  • Accessibility testing and evaluation

Why Accessibility Matters to Me

Web accessibility isn't just a compliance checkbox—it's about human dignity and equal access. When we build accessible experiences, we're ensuring that people with disabilities can work, learn, shop, and connect online independently. That's powerful, and it's why I've dedicated my career to this work.

Too often, accessibility is treated as an afterthought or a burden. I see it differently: accessible code is simply good code. When we develop with accessibility in mind from the start, we create better experiences for everyone—clearer navigation, more readable content, and more robust, maintainable code.

Beyond the Code

When I'm not building accessible experiences, I'm writing about them. This site serves as both a portfolio and a resource for other developers looking to improve their accessibility knowledge. I believe in sharing what I learn and helping others understand that accessibility doesn't have to be complicated—it just needs to be intentional.

Let's Connect

Whether you're looking to make your website more accessible, need help with WCAG compliance, or want to discuss accessible development practices, I'd love to hear from you. Accessibility is better when we work together to create a more inclusive web and world.
